About Ian Darke - The founder of ULS Football

Currently working for ESPN and TNT SportsIan, Darke is a famous English association football and boxing commentator in global football. He possesses one of the most recognizable voices and has covered some of the biggest matches in the world, including the FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championship, and FIFA Women's World Cup.

His sport broadcasting career

Ian Darke started to work for BBC Radio in 1975. He began his broadcasting career in several fields including boxing, athletics, and football. In 1992, Ian moved to Sky Sports, where he commentated on the newly formed FA Premier League. At that time, he was considered one of Sky's "Big Four" football commentators. Darke was loved by fans because of his clear and concise commentary. He is able to capture the excitement of the game and then send that excitement to watchers. 

In 2010, Darke joined ESPN full-time as the company's lead soccer voice in the United States. He has since called the world's top tournaments for ESPN, including the FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championship, FIFA Women's World Cup, FIFA Confederations Cup, Barclays Premier League, international friendlies, and U.S. National Team (men's and women's) matches.

In 2022, Darke was chosen as the official commentator for FIFA World Cup. 

Throughout his career, Ian Darke received wonderful achievements and awards, such as:
